Early Winter November 17, 2011

Well, We are excited to have our counter tops installed.  We still have many bits and pieces of the kitchen to do but we are excited to be this far along.  The children and I have been getting the house in order as a school project.  They have been working on their writing skills by learning to take chaos and make order out of it.  It has been a season of transition for us and preparation for the next.  Stepping out of our original plan of being with ZHOP and the prayer movement in the southeast and now remaining to see for this season what God has for us here.  Thank you for your prayers as we walk the road of trying to see the path of the Lord in front of us.  Sometimes, though the path He makes is straight it is still uncertain to the heart.  May all of you have a beautiful Holy-day season filled with the peace of the LORD!  Peace to all!

Late Summer Update 2011

The roof was completed Thanksgiving weekend.  That was a great relief.  We then started in on the kitchen project.  Our intentions are to put in a bay window, remove the soffit, and open the wall between the living room and kitchen.  This has been a great undertaking and we have been stretched in every direction.  As of this month we have installed the rest of the cabinets and are doing some detailed finish work.  A pair of utility cabinets were converted to a bench seat in front of the bay window.  We are now ready to do the counter top.  We have used the old counter top so that we can function in the kitchen until the whole project is ready to have the counter top installed.  We are pleased with the changes.  It has opened up our living space and provided an environment that feels close because we can preview what is happening in the adjacent room.  God also sent a team of help from various places to support us in the process.  Though it has taken along time because we have taken great pains to details, we will be able to enjoy it as we gather and grow in the space.  I, Lana, will be pleased to have my home in functioning order again.  I hope that this will come about by the end of September.
Prayer points-
-Provision

Here we are...a year after the ministry closed.

Hello family and friends,   As many of you know we have been in South Carolina for 3 years originally with a prayer ministry that finished it's assignment in South Carolina a year ago and returned to the missions base.  This past year we have been asking the question, "What now LORD?"   So we at present are pushing on doors.  Our most recent door included a trip to Indiana that is inconclusive at this time.  So we continue to press in.  Would you join us in prayer asking the Lord what we are to do next.  Stay in the South or return to the North?  Is there another venue that the LORD has for us?  The South has proven to be most pleasant in weather, however, an expensive place to reside.  We are feeling the effects of a strained economy.  As many of you have no doubt felt the economic crunch as well.  We recognize the need to stay connected and the need for prayer support.  So, if you would join us in prayer.  Our current requests are:

Provision to stay or go
Grace as a new roof is put on our house & shed
Grace as the interior is updated included some extensive kitchen repair
Direction to remain in the South or move elsewhere
Encouragement for the journey, it has been a challenging season
